Principal's Message

The Administration team at the Junior High School would like to welcome you to our web site. The Administration team consists of our building Principal Mr. Larry Larthey and our Assistant Principals Mr. Daniel Willams and Mrs. Karine Yamount.

The Junior High staff provides a nurturing student centered atmosphere where young adolescents can make a gradual transition from dependence to independence. This transition includes an orientation in August for incoming eighth graders and an additional orientation for new students. All parents are encouraged to communicate with school personnel as often as necessary. Our school community is one of mutual support and encouragement that contributes to the overall unity of our Junior High program.

Stroudsburg Junior High serves as a diverse community committed to providing education and programs which are designed to prepare students for additional education, productive employment, and responsible citizenship. Our teachers are encouraged to use the most effective teaching strategies. In an attempt to develop leadership, self esteem, and social skills, students are encouraged to participate in a variety of athletic, student government, music, theater, club, and class activities.
